Environmental Health in the New Administration and Congress

What can we expect from Washington in 2021? With a new administration comes paradigm changes as federal agencies set new priorities. This comes against a Congress that likely will be divided when it meets again in January. This webinar will provide insights from the election, priorities from the new Administration, challenges facing Congress, and how environmental health may fare in FY 2021.

Speaker: Doug Farquhar- Director of Government Affairs at NEHA

Doug Farquhar directs Government Relations for the National Environmental Health Association, the largest and most influential environmental health professional association in the United States dedicated solely to professional environmental public health practice. He was program director for environmental health at the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), overseeing the project and providing policy outreach to the nation’s 7383 state legislatures and their staffs. He received a juris doctorate at the University of Denver School of Law, and his BA in Government from the University of Texas Austin. He is an adjunct professor at University College at the University of Denver and is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health.
