Arsenic is one of the most common contaminants exceeding standards in private wells in the U.S. and abroad. This webinar will explain the major water quality factors to be considered for arsenic water treatment and provide a formula for successfully treating water. Learn what works and what doesn’t with regard to arsenic exposure from private well water.

Steve Spayd is a research scientist and hydrogeologist with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection where he has worked for over three decades. His current research is on the geologic sources and effective water treatment for arsenic, radionuclides, and other naturally occurring contaminants. He conducts outreach to private well owners, assists the public with water quality and hydrogeologic issues, and has worked on many groundwater contamination sites.
