Opportunity to participate: Research into food safety inspections

Jason Barnes, an Australian HRD (higher degree by research) student with the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University, Australia and his team are undertaking some research on food safety inspections and how they are performed.

The aim is to develop a better understanding of how inspectors approach food safety inspections and how inspections can be best positioned to prevent foodborne illness. An important part of this research will be hearing the perspectives of Environmental Health professionals and the team aims to do this in three phases, the first of which involves an online survey.

Anyone who conducts or has conducted food safety inspections is encouraged to participate in an online survey to share their experience. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes and is simplest to complete on a desktop computer.

Please follow this link to access the survey. (Please note that survey access remains available for a limited time.)

At the completion of the research, the summary of the findings will be shared.
