THE 2022 AEC GOES HYBRID!
The National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) has continued to closely monitor travel restrictions currently in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to ensure accessibility and inclusion of everyone who wishes to participate, the NEHA Board of Directors has made the decision to transition the 2022 Annual Educational Conference (AEC) & Exhibition scheduled for June 28-July 1 2022, in Spokane, Washington, to a hybrid event.
Developing details regarding the hybrid structure of the NEHA 2022 AEC will be posted on the 2022 AEC website as they become available.
“While I am thrilled that the 2022 AEC is returning to an in-person event, we do understand that there are individuals who are currently unable to travel, either for financial reasons, or imposed travel restrictions. By moving the AEC to a hybrid event, we can ensure participation is available to everyone, both as a presenters and attendees. My hope is that you are able to join us in person, but I encourage you to participate in whichever way you prefer.”
-NEHA President Roy Kroeger
Call for Abstracts Deadline Extended to October 25
The Call for Abstracts deadline for the 2022 Annual Educational Conference (AEC) & Exhibition has been extended to October 25! At this time, the option to present virtually is only available to those with employer-imposed travel restrictions. Presenters will have the option to submit their current status when abstracts are submitted and presenters will have the option of updating that information closer to the conference. Keep in mind, NEHA will continue to monitor employer-imposed travel restrictions and will organize the in-person and virtual agendas according to these restrictions.
The 2022 AEC is scheduled to take place in-person and virtually on June 28–July 1, 2022. By presenting at the NEHA AEC you will provide the audience with practical skills and knowledge they can take back to implement in their own jurisdictions and departments. The role of environmental health and the responsibilities we have to keep our communities safe and functioning are in the spotlight more than ever. Submit your Abstract for the NEHA 2022 AEC as we join together in Safeguarding a Road Less Traveled.
The education and networking provided during the AEC has earned it the reputation as the premiere conference for individuals working in the environmental health profession. We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to provide unique insights and share your experience, expertise, knowledge, and research.
To submit your abstract online, please view our abstract submission guidelines and review the list of 2022 AEC tracks and disciplines.
